Tucked in the shadow of Mt.Ascutney, the park offers 59 campsites with four hiking trails to the 3,200 foot summit. Vehicles can wind up the toll road to the summit, offering breath-taking views of the Connecticut River Valley.

Nestled along the banks of the Connecticut River, Wilgus State Park has 25 campsites, a group camping area with lean-tos and a playground and picnic area. Hiking trails wind through the park and a Nature Trail meanders along the river’s edge. Canoe rentals are also available.

Located in the 16,000-acre Coolidge State Forest, the park offers the ideal rustic camping experience. Includes 25 tent/trailer sites and 35 lean-tos with spectacular views of the Green Mountains. Hike the trails around Slack Hill and pan for gold in the abandoned town of Five Corners. Children can visit Wild Bill’s log cabin and playground.

Southern Vermont’s most popular park, Camp Plymouth’s Echo Lake is a perfect spot for swimming and boating. The park has group shelters for barbecues and picnics, a concession stand and boat rentals. Hiking trails wind throughout the 295-acre park. Fully equipped cabin rentals are also available during the season.
